Second Saturday Skillshare Event: August

What is Second Saturday Skillshare? This is a monthly event that is hosted by Concrete Couch, a local non profit specializing in connecting community through arts and environmentalism,  with another host organization, non-profit or business that's goal is to learn different skills from the surrounding community. Last month in August, the Transcendent Femme crew facilitated one of these events inside of our project space. We had an incredible turn of intergenerational folks. Folks learned how to felt cute lil’ forest protectors, build a paper mache tree and create a beautiful beaded curtain during this time. We were so excited about the turn out of this event, that we decided to facilitate another one this week on Saturday, September 13th, 2025. We will have one of our facilitators Porifiro Pena from Growthology leading people into a meditation, as well as, have plenty of art making as we are in the final stages of building the exhibit.
