Irina Amouzou is a Togolese immigrant, poet, two-time Storytelling Champion, and organizer with Southern Colorado Black and Pink, a prison abolition organization that writes letters and keeps in contact with those incarcerated. They have published written pieces of work in the journal Riverrun, have been a featured poet with Poetry719 for the Social Justice Open Mic and want to continue to enrich and be enriched by communities of resistance.

This Y2K themed night is all about affirming LGBTQIA+ identity and life. We will have queer music performers, radical poster making from a local poet and print maker, and open mic. People are encouraged to make art and share their stories of liberations, resilience and joy.
